Capabilities

In our 5,500 sq foot facility we have the capacity to handle molds up to 3,500 pounds with a maximum size of 24” x 30”.

Milling

Milling machines can be computer controlled (CNC) or manual. They remove material from a work piece by rotating a cutting tool and moving it into the workpiece. The machines can be vertical or horizontal and are used to machine flat or irregularly shaped surfaces and can be used to drill, bore, and cut gears, threads, and slots.

  • Maximum 26” x 40” x 25”

Wire EDM

Wire EDM machining works by creating an electrical discharge between the wire and the work piece. As the spark jumps across the gap, the material is removed. This process can easily machine complex parts and precision components out of hard conductive materials.

  • Maximum 10” x 14” x 7.750”

EDM

Conventional EDM machines use a shaped electrode (usually made from graphite), a power source and a ram for propulsion. The electrical discharge cuts through the metal material with precision and can produce complex shapes and contours.

  • Maximum: 17.25” x 14” x 12.5”

Turning

Turning is done with a Lathe and a cutting tool that removes material from a workpiece while it rotates around an axis. This process can produce a good surface finish, high tolerance parts, internal and external surfaces, and contoured surfaces.

  • Maximum 6” chuck

Grinding

Grinding is an abrasive machining process that uses a grinding wheel as the cutting tool. It is used to remove material from a workpiece to achieve a given tolerance, to produce a smooth finish on the surface, or to remove burrs.

Maximums:

  • 16 x 40 Hydraulic Surface Grinder
  • 6 x 18 Surface Grinder
  • 6 x 12 Surface Grinders
  • 6 x 12 Ball Way

Hole Popping

an EDM Hole Popper uses an electrically charged copper rod electrode to send a spark to a machined part. The electrode works like a traditional drill bit to bore through and remove the material.

Jig Grinding

A jig grinder is a machine used for grinding precise holes, grinding complex contours, and removing material where the highest degrees of accuracy and finish are required and can be repeated.
